TAB Industries opens quality control laboratory

Metalworking manufacturer TAB Industries LLC, Reading, Pa., has opened a dedicated quality control laboratory. The in-house laboratory features advanced and traditional testing, measurement, and inspection equipment to help ensure the metalwork, parts, and products meet exacting specifications.

It includes a new CMM for automated 3D analysis of high-volume parts; a portable comparator for 2D inspections; calibrated height gauges with a certified granite surface table; and a variety of calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and accessories to verify the dimensions of metallic parts and materials.

The company provides outsourced support for OEMs at every stage from product design and engineering through material sourcing, production, testing, logistics, and delivery. Its services include laser cutting, welding, metal fabrication, powder coating, machining, assembly, and packaging.
