The Will-Burt Co. celebrates 100th anniversary

The Will-Burt Co., a manufacturer of mobile telescoping mast and tower systems, marks its 100th year in business in 2018.

The company was incorporated in Orrville, Ohio, by Burton W. Cope on Jan. 31, 1918, although its history is traced back to 1894 when the Cope brothers opened a general repair shop. As the business grew, they took on partner William Tschantz and began doing business as The Will-Burt Co. in 1916.

Will-Burt began performing contract manufacturing work shortly after incorporation in 1918 and continues to offer these services today, providing metal fabrication and powder coating capabilities.
