United Alloy begins expansion in Texas

United Alloy Inc., Janesville, Wis., has broken ground on a nearly 110,000-sq.-ft. expansion of its existing manufacturing facility in Seguin, Texas. The contract metal fabrication and powder coating company produces metal fuel tanks, hydraulic reservoirs, skids, frames, chassis, trailers, and complex weldments.

The expansion includes automation for light sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, and assembly. The company will use the space to increase capacity for fabricating and assembling sheet metal enclosures for large OEMs, and to launch an apprenticeship program for training entry-level welders, fabricators, painters, and assemblers.

This is Phase 2 of the $35 million facility’s construction. At completion, the building’s total footprint will be 230,000 sq. ft.
