Van-Am Tool & Engineering acquires GMT Manufacturing’s Fabrication Division

Van-Am Tool & Engineering, St. Joseph, Mo., has expanded its capabilities and capacity with the acquisition of the Fabrication Division of GMT Manufacturing, Waverly, Iowa. The wholly owned subsidiary has been renamed as Van-Am Defense Systems LLC.

This acquisition adds 75,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and is focused on large, heavy fabrications for the defense and industrial sectors. Van-Am’s services include tooling, stamping, machining, laser cutting, press brake bending, robotic welding, powder coating, and painting.
