Vanderlande opens manufacturing and distribution center in Georgia

Vanderlande, a provider of value-added logistic process automation, has opened a manufacturing and distribution center in Acworth, Ga. The plant produces baggage conveyor and sortation equipment, carousels, and automated passenger checkpoints for airports, as well as bulk conveyors and chutes for the warehousing and parcel markets.

The new facility combines the company’s manufacturing plant previously located in Calhoun, Ga., and the existing North American Distribution Center, adjacent to the site in Acworth. These two locations separately employed about 25 people, but the manufacturing and distribution center will employ 80 to 100 employees when operating at full capacity.
