Waukesha Metal Products to celebrate National Manufacturing Day

Oct. 6 marks the 6th annual national Manufacturing Day and kicks off Manufacturing Month, a statewide initiative to increase awareness of manufacturing in Wisconsin. Waukesha Metal Products will once again open its doors to students, educators, elected officials, and community members to provide a firsthand look at the inner workings of local metal manufacturing.

The company will host facility tours and presentations at both locations: Stamping and Tooling in Sussex, Wis., and Fabrication and Assembly in Grafton, Wis. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with prescheduled tours for local school groups.

The firm will highlight the importance of manufacturing to the nation’s economy and feature the many highly skilled jobs available in the manufacturing industry. Company representatives will be available to answer questions.
