Weldstar, Depke Gases and Welding Supplies complete merger

Aurora, Ill.-based Weldstar and Depke Gases and Welding Supplies, Danville, Ill., have completed a merger. Depke continues its operations as a subsidiary of the Weldstar Co. Both companies serve the welding supply, gas, and specialty gas markets.

The merger combines Weldstar’s four locations with Depke’s three locations. Curt Towne continues as Depke president, overseeing its three central Illinois locations. Towne also serves on the Weldstar management team and board of directors.
