Whirlpool announces Manufacturing Day participation

Appliance manufacturer Whirlpool Corp., Benton Harbor, Mich., has announced its participation in Manufacturing Day 2017 as a Gold Sponsor. The company will invite select groups of high school and college students, as well as community leaders, to take part in a variety of activities at its U.S. plants on Oct. 6. Programming will include plant tours, video presentations, and question-and-answer sessions.

Employees also will visit area schools to participate in collaborative manufacturing-related class projects designed to educate students on the industry. Events are planned in Amana, Iowa; Fall River, Mass.; Cleveland, Tenn.; Tulsa, Okla.; and Clyde, Greenville, Marion, Ottawa, and Findlay, Ohio.
