Wisconsin Oven ships tempering conveyor oven to tool manufacturer

Wisconsin Oven Corp., East Troy, Wis., has shipped an electrically heated standard two-zone conveyor oven to a tool and equipment manufacturer. The belt conveyor oven, which will be used to temper steel parts, can heat 1,800 lbs. of steel from 70 to 425 degrees F within one hour.

The tempering oven has work chamber dimensions of 3 ft. wide by 34 ft. long by 1-1/2 ft. high and a maximum operating temperature of 500 degrees F. Guaranteed temperature uniformity of ±10 degrees F at 425 degrees F was documented to meet AMS 2750E, Class 2 furnaces and Instrumentation Type C requirements.
