Women in Manufacturing, Case Western Reserve University to hold third annual Leadership Lab

Registration is now open for the third annual Leadership Lab for Women in Manufacturing. The program, a joint initiative by Women in Manufacturing™ (WiM) and Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management, was created in 2014 to provide an executive education program designed specifically for women in manufacturing.

Leadership Lab courses are divided into three separate modules—Women in Manufacturing: Bias, Barriers and Opportunities; High-impact Leadership for Women in Manufacturing; and Skills and Strategies for Leading the Way Forward in Manufacturing. The courses are spread over eight days, which allows participants to apply learning between sessions and receive individualized coaching.

This year there will be a new face among the Leadership Lab facilitators. Ellen Burts-Cooper is the senior managing partner of Improve Consulting and Training Group, a firm that provides personal and professional development training, coaching, and consultation. She is a noted expert, having been featured in Time Magazine, Black Voices, Smart Business Magazine, and Bloomberg Businessweek.

“Women who have graduated from the Leadership Lab leave with tangible skills that they can bring to bear in their workplaces,” said Allison Grealis, WiM president. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Case Western Reserve’s Weatherhead School of Management again this year to deliver this program which benefits participants and the manufacturing industry as a whole.”
