Xometry raises $15 million for 3-D printing platform

Xometry, Gaithersburg, Md., has completed a $15 million round of fundraising, led by BMW i Ventures, GE Ventures, and Highland Capital Partners.

The company will use the funding to continue development of its software platform for on-demand manufacturing services using 3-D printers and traditional manufacturing machinery. The firm has an instant quoting platform and network of machine shops and small manufacturers nationwide to fulfill part orders.
