Zahroof Valves named finalist for 2018 Petroleum Economist Award

Houston-based Zahroof Valves Inc. (ZVI) has been named a finalist for the 2018 Petroleum Economist Awards in the category of Technology Company of the Year. The awards recognize people, companies, and projects that epitomize the best of the energy industry with innovation and originality, sound business practice, and commitment to environmental protection and employee welfare.

ZVI develops and markets a reciprocating compressor valve based on the modular reed valve technology invented by Zahroof Mohamed, president and founder. The StraightFlo™ drop-in replacement compressor valve assembly comprises replaceable reed valve modules that are designed so that the gas flows essentially in a straight line through the valve with very little deviation, resulting in very low losses in the valve.
