FARO makes two additions to senior leadership team

FARO Technologies Inc., a provider of 3D measurement, imaging, and realization systems, has hired two industry veterans to join its senior leadership team and manage the global hardware and software R&D teams.

Avi Ray-Chaudhuri, named vice president of hardware R&D, has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the semiconductor, advanced lithography, and laser development industries. He served most recently as VP, engineering, commercial lasers for Lumentum. Ray-Chaudhuri earned a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University.

Wesley Tilley has been appointed as vice president of software R&D. He has spent more than 30 years in the telecommunications industry, serving most recently at Oracle as vice president, communications software as a service. He holds an MBA in general management from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from North Carolina State University.
