Magnetic Analysis Corp. names new CEO

Dan Lawrence

Magnetic Analysis Corp., Elmsford, N.Y., a provider of instruments and systems for nondestructive testing of metals, has appointed Daniel Lawrence as president/CEO. He succeeds Dudley Boden, who will retire in June 2024. He remains a director of MAC and is assisting in the transition.

Lawrence previously served as general manager of the optical components business of MKS Instruments. Before that, he was vice president and general manager of the Stellite, Conforma Clad, and Advanced Materials Systems businesses within Kennametal and spent a decade as a division vice president and business unit manager for the Precitech and TMC business units within Ametek.

He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from Clarkson University, studied law at Boston University, and received an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
