Sandvik to acquire Metrologic Group

Sweden-based Sandvik has announced plans to acquire software company Metrologic Group, Meylan, France, from Astorg Partners.

Metrologic Group, which offers agnostic software for metrology, automation, robotics control, calibration, and 3-D measuring, will form a new business unit within a new product area in Sandvik Machining Solutions. It will maintain brand independence, and its management team will remain with the company.
