Verisurf Software releases app to help measure large parts

Anaheim, Calif.-based Verisurf Software has developed the mobile Verisurf Companion App, designed to help improve productivity of measurement, build, and inspection applications, especially when large parts or assemblies are involved.

The app interfaces directly with Verisurf software and nearly all measurement hardware devices to display real-time coordinate position and 3D deviation from nominal geometry on any hand-held Android or Apple device. The mobile connection with the software is established via any wireless access point, allowing the user to see built/inspect results in real time, start inspection plans, trigger measurement devices, view and search reports, take measurements, and load job files with mobile bar code scanning.
