Atlas Tube opens ERW mill in Arkansas

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, has opened its second facility in Blytheville, Ark. The $150 million plant, dedicated to producing hollow structural sections as large as 28 in. OD with walls up to 1 in. thick, is expected to create more than 75 jobs.

The company recently hosted a grand opening event, at which attendees toured the facility and heard remarks from Barry Zekelman, executive chairman/CEO of Zekelman Industries; Mike Preston, secretary of the Arkansas Department of Commerce; and Clif Chitwood, president of the Great River Economic Development Foundation.
