GMM invests in Waterjet Production Academy

GMM SpA, which acquired Techni Waterjet in 2018, is expanding further into the waterjet world by becoming the majority shareholder in Waterjet Production Academy GmbH (WPA).

Founded in 2017 in Karlsruhe, Germany, WPA trains waterjet machine operators; provides consultancy services on waterjet processes; offers prototyping studies; and distributes spare parts, consumables, accessories, and complementary machinery for the waterjet cutting and high-pressure pumping industry throughout Europe.

GMM's investment aims to acquire specialized know-how in sophisticated waterjet applications such as those for cutting metals, composites, and multilayer sandwich panels in demanding industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, and defense.

WPA will be Techni’s distributor for machines and pumps in the non-stone market in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, alongside GMM's stone distribution network.
