OMAX to host “The Versatile World of Waterjet” virtual event

Kent, Wash.-based OMAX has announced it will host a virtual event, “The Versatile World of Waterjet,” that explores the many roles of waterjet technology and some of its unexpected uses. The one-hour virtual event will stream on May 20 at three times: 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 5:00 pm. PT. Each showing will be the same.

The event will explore four different waterjet user’s shops:

  1. Showman Fabricators, a New Jersey-based shop that uses an OMAX 80X to fabricate television, movie, and theater sets, as well as interactive installations for stores and museums.
  2. Mitchell Larsen Studio, a glass studio in Christiansted, Virgin Islands, that uses a ProtoMAX to cut blanks for flatware, Christmas ornaments, and art pieces.
  3. Trupart Manufacturing in Venture, Calif., which uses two OMAX waterjets and 3D printers to prototype and fabricate products from nearly every material available.
  4. Holly Yashi, a boutique jewelry creator in Redding, Calif., that has pioneered into new materials with its OMAX 2652.
