Beckwood’s EVOx servo-electric presses suitable for light-duty assembly

Beckwood Press Co. has launched the EVOx™ line of servo-electric presses. Available from 0.5 to 50 tons, they are suitable for light-duty assembly applications including clamping, crimping, joining, press fitting, punching/blanking, riveting, spring testing, staking, and swaging.

The presses are powered by Exlar® electric roller-screw actuators from Curtiss-Wright rather than hydraulic systems. They feature a programmable, intuitive controls system with positional repeatability to within +/-0.0005 in. that provides force and positional feedback. Actuator size, frame style, dwell time, and safety guarding are fully configurable.
