Arch clamp from Roemheld designed for use on metal forming presses

Roemheld had introduced a new arch clamp for use on presses and forges. An integrated mechanical lock holds the upper die in position in case of a pressure loss to prevent it from failing. The die clamping element is coated to prevent corrosion, even in harsh conditions. The arch-shaped force curve of the clamping bolt virtually eliminates jamming at the clamping point, according to the company.

Designed for use with straight clamping edges, the double-acting arch clamp is suitable for high clamping edge tolerances of ±1 mm. Clamping and unclamping pressures of 200 bar provide a maximum clamping force between 30 and 450 kN and process forces up to 620 kN.
