Beckwood’s LSP features all-electric actuation system

Beckwood Press Co. has launched the patent-pending Linear Servo Press (LSP), which uses an all-electric actuation system. According to the company, the press was designed using linear actuators for accuracy, efficiency, and forming flexibility.

Available in tonnages from 125 to 500, the press offers fully programmable speeds, pressures, and positions. Because it is fully electric, it has no hydraulic power units or centralized lubrication systems and up to 70% fewer components than servomechanical and hydraulic presses.
