HG ARs from Amada combines bending robot, press brake, tool changer

Amada offers the HG ARs, which integrates a bending robot with an HG series press brake and patented Automatic Tool Changer (ATC), for bending a variety of parts. It supports workpieces up to 39.3 by 31.4 in. and has a weight capacity of 44 lbs.

Four tool manipulators quickly load tooling from 15 punch stockers and 18 die stockers. The ATC stores 86 ft. of robot-loaded tooling.

A 6-axis robot with a range of motion capabilities performs all part loading, bending, and unloading operations. During bending, a potentiometer backgauge system with additional side gauge compensates for any deviation when the workpiece is placed on the die.
