HPB-E servo-electric press brake from Kaast offers CNC 4-axis backgauge

Kaast Machine Tools Inc. has introduced the HPB-E servo-electric CNC press brake. It features a CNC 4-axis (X, R, Z1, Z2) backgauge system run exclusively by AC servomotor.

Crowning is no longer necessary because of the consistent pressure across the beam. The beam downward movement is performed with the aid of belts, and its return is performed with springs, keeping the noise level to 63 dBs.

The machine offers quick setups and consistent bend angles, especially for air forming, the bending method preferred for these machines. With the linear bearings and the sliding front support arms that move right and left on the rail, the sheet can be controlled by the operator from the front.

Also, the length of the parts can be measured with the ruler mounted on the front support arms. The sheet can be fixed from the front side with the aid of the flip stop mounted inside the T slot.
