Kyntronics’ Smart Hydraulic Actuator system delivers power-on-demand actuation

Kyntronics has developed the Smart Hydraulic Actuator for power-on-demand, servo-controlled, variable-speed actuation. This unit combines features of hydraulics and electromechanical servo technology in an all-in-one modular assembly.

The system controls position, force, and speed in applications requiring force capacity from 500 to more than 100,000 lbs. The system produces strokes up to 120 in. It can be oriented in any position and features a compact footprint.

It is powered by a servomotor that drives a hydraulic pump, which generates pressure to act on a cylinder to provide mechanical actuation force. The configuration also features a servo drive controller, actuator, manifold, and built-in transducers, providing closed-loop force and position control.
