Mobile press brake generates 88-ton press capacity in less than 10 sq. ft.

Bystronic Inc. has announced the release of the Xpert 80 mobile press brake.

Over a bending length of about 5 ft., the machine generates a press capacity of 88 tons in a footprint of less than 10 sq. ft. It handles flexible job shop production with fluctuating batch sizes and varying bent parts, as well as series production with recurring parts. The press brake can be set up next to a laser cutting system one day and in a row with other press brakes the next day to process a large bending order.

The machine delivers bending speeds up to 1 IPS. This enables users to bend three times as many parts with the compact machine compared to a slower, large press brake, the company states.

According to the company, the ByMotion drive control helps ensure the upper beam and backgauges are accelerated with high precision.
