Rud’s Tool Separator helps make tool handling safer

Rud Ketten Rieger & Dietz GmbH has introduced the new Tool Separator, which the company says opens injection tools, punching tools, and forming tools in seconds, making tool handling safer and faster. It eliminates the need for separating by hand using cranes, sledgehammers, and tire irons, allowing tool separation to be completed by one person in a maximum of five minutes.

The operator can set the degree of opening and closing force from 0 to 55 kN and speeds from 0 to 2,000 mm/min. After opening, the operator can perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks on the tool while it is held securely in the separator, helping to reduce downtime.
