Salvagnini’s Roboformer delivers unattended bending for kit, batch, one-off production

Salvagnini has introduced the 2019 Roboformer, an Industry 4.0 bending cell that automatically synchronizes all movements of a press brake, robot arm, and automatic handling devices directly from solid models. Designed for companies that work with small, often varied batches, it delivers unattended bending for kit, batch, and one-off production.

The cell’s B3-ATA press brake automatically adjusts the length of its upper universal bending tools, lower V dies, and backgauges in-cycle to achieve setups in near-zero time, says the company. MAC 2.0 adaptive technology provides bending repeatability and scrap reduction, while the press brake’s angle measurement system monitors and corrects bend angles on-the-fly.

A single program manages all system activities, and programming is completed offline. The bending cell accommodates remote monitoring via computer, smartphone, or another digital device.
