Dimensional Control Systems’ Closed Loop Manufacturing automates collection of measurement data

Dimensional Control Systems provides Closed Loop Manufacturing, which uses a CAD model to drive design information through the product lifecycle, creating measurement plans for suppliers and manufacturing from the model, using it for GD&T and as a tool for both root cause analysis and continuous process improvement.

This process automates collecting measurement data and using it to continually identify issues in manufacturing (such as nonconformance, out-of-specification parts, and variation); to improve design quality; and to resolve those issues before they become costly fixes like scrap, rework, and warranty recalls. The measurement data is processed with an SPC system and fed upstream to help enhance future iterations of the process.
