Gas mixer maintains gas purity required for laser cutting

The Witt MG100-ME HD ERC+ gas mixer for oxygen/nitrogen mixtures is designed for high process reliability and ease of operation in laser cutting applications, says the company.

The electropneumatic valve-operated mixer can be operated locally via touchscreen or remotely via interface with optional connections and software. Adjustable or preset mixing ranges from 0 to 5% up to 0 to 95% are available for precise mixing.

Equal pressure control helps make the system resistant to pressure fluctuations in the gas supply. Input pressures that are too low generate an alarm and shut down the system if necessary. The stainless steel buffer tank keeps the gas mixture stable even when gas consumption fluctuates and maintains gas purity required for laser cutting.
