A-Prime aluminum-oxide, shank-mounted flap wheels are available from Weldcote, a division of Zika Group. Intended for use on pneumatic air tools, the flap wheels are available in long-life and premium-cut versions for use on stainless steel, steel, alloyed steel, nonferrous metals, aluminum, and titanium.

According to the company, the long-life flap wheel offers aggressive cut rates and is designed to work in small, difficult-to-reach areas, while the premium-cut version uses a flexible X-weight material with a premium initial cut rate.

The flap wheels are available in 3/4- to 3-in. sizes in grits from 40 to 320. The shanks measure 1/4 in.
