Grieve’s jumbo walk-in oven cures coatings onto large discs

The Grieve Corp. has produced No. 1019, a 500-degrees-F, electrically heated walk-in batch oven, currently used for curing coatings onto large discs at a customer’s facility. It offers a workspace of 18 by 18 by 10 ft.

The oven chamber is heated by 260 kW installed in INCOLOY-sheathed tubular elements. Two 30-HP recirculating blowers provide combination airflow to the work load.

The oven features 6-in. insulated walls, aluminized steel exterior and interior, 2-in.-thick insulated flooring with built-in oven truck wheel guide tracks, and motorized dampers on the intake and exhaust for accelerated cooling of the oven chamber.
