Norton BlazeX F980 fiber discs increase cut rate in stainless

Saint-Gobain Abrasives has introduced its Norton BlazeX F980 fiber discs with ceramic alumina microfracturing grain for a variety of grinding processes in stainless steel and harder-to-grind materials.

New proprietary Cool Friction technology dissipates heat during the grind to help reduce rework and extend disc life. A self-lubricating grinding aid treatment and active filler also are critical to producing cool cuts.

The discs are suitable for grinding operations such as stock removal, deburring, beveling, blending, cleaning/detailing, and finishing. They are offered in 36 grit and are available in a standard 7/8-in. hole pattern.
