Norton Double-Cut Carbide Burrs increase stock removal

Saint-Gobain Abrasives has introduced a line of Norton Carbide Burrs designed for surface removal on demanding production runs with fewer changeovers. The hard tungsten carbide substrate, strong tooth formulation with decreased tooth wedge angle, and numerous cutting edges help the burrs achieve extended life and improved stock removal, the company states.

The burrs remove surface stock and weld splatter and perform deburring, chamfering, and medium to light cleaning. The tool geometries are designed to handle stainless steel, steel, cast steel, and composites applications. The burrs perform well at high temperature, according to the manufacturer.
