PPG develops ENVIROCRON Extreme Protection powder coating system for high-tensile automotive coil springs

PPG has introduced the ENVIROCRON® Extreme Protection powder coating system, formulated to provide chip and corrosion resistance to high-tensile automotive coil springs on OEM vehicles.

The powder coating system surpasses 150 cycles of testing, as prescribed by SAE Intl.’s J2334 Laboratory Cyclical Corrosion Test, according to the company. Formulated without fiberglass, the powder coating can be reclaimed and recycled.
