Saint-Gobain’s Norton Vortex Rapid Prep nonwoven file belts finish complex parts

Saint-Gobain Abrasives has introduced Norton Vortex Rapid Prep nonwoven file belts for finishing tight, intricate, and complex parts. The belts cut like a coarse grit size while producing finishes similar to a finer-grit abrasive on a variety of metals. The proprietary Clean Bond resin system helps ensure a smear-free finish.

The belts can be used in combination with coolants or in dry applications. They are available in several sizes, including widths of 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 in., with lengths from 12 to 24 in. depending on belt width.
