Spot weld cleaning system redesigned

Walter Surface Technologies has launched its Surfox™ 205 and Surfox Mini GTAW and spot weld cleaning systems, which use an electrochemical process to clean and passivate these welds on stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium.

The redesigned Surfox 205 system replaces time-consuming manual operations, such as mechanical abrasion, or extremely hazardous solutions, like pickling paste.

The redesigned Mini Surfox has been engineered to allow operators to clean GTAW and spot welds on aluminum and stainless steel to an optimal finish, even on the most delicate surfaces. This unit is compact, portable, and lightweight, which makes it suitable for everyday field work, including equipment repair, installation, and touchup.

The new-generation units also can mark stainless and aluminum in black and titanium in blue.
