Trimmable flap discs from Weldcote allow longer use

Weldcote, a division of Zika Group, has introduced trimmable flap discs. The ability to trim the nylon 6 back plate allows operators to use the discs for a longer period of time, increasing disc life by up to 65 percent, says the company.

The discs are available in 4-1/2-, 5-, and 6-in. sizes in C-Prime ceramic grain and Z-Prime zirconia grain. Both materials are offered with a patented 5/8-11-in. built-in hub and with a standard 7/8-in. arbor hole. They are suitable for use on cabon-based steels and stainless steel.
