Viking 700s steel belt blaster made more durable for heavy-duty operations

Viking Blast & Wash Systems has released its newly redesigned tumble belt blast machine. Changes to the loader and discharge belt options in the 7-CF model 700s have made it more durable for heavy-duty operations.

Constructed from 3/8-in.-thick steel plate, reinforced with structural steel, and equipped with a manganese steel flight belt, the blaster has a 1,600-lb. load capacity, a 25-HP VK Powermax blast wheel, and a 3-HP bucket elevator abrasive lifting system with an air-wash separator for cleaning abrasive before blasting. Cabinet and barrel-head liners are made of manganese alloy.

Other optional features are a rotary scalping drum for removing debris from the blast media, loader, a takeaway belt, and an auxiliary abrasive hopper. A variable-speed blast wheel control, electromagnetic abrasive control valve and classifier, and an optional PLC and touchscreen for preprogrammed, recorded, part-specific recipes help satisfy peening requirements. NFPA-required deflagration panels are standard.
