Amada ENSIS 3015 AJ delivers high-precision processing of thin-to-thick materials

The ENSIS 3015 AJ series from Amada provides continuous processing of thin materials and thick plate without a cutting lens change or manual setup. This is made possible by a resonator that automatically changes the beam mode to accommodate whatever material and thickness is being processed.

An advanced collimation system controls beam diameter and beam configuration, allowing for infinite mode and diameter control combinations. According to the company, the machine achieves up to a 66% reduction in processing time when compared to conventional fiber lasers at the same wattage and achieves 1-sec. clean pierce in 1-in. plate.

The system is suitable for ferrous steels, as well as nonferrous metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and titanium.
