EML-AJ punch/fiber laser combination machine from AMADA achieves high-speed, uninterrupted operation

AMADA AMERICA offers the EML-AJ series punch/fiber laser combination machine. It comes with all the punching functions inherent in single-function punching machines. Combined punches and dies are supplied with a Z turret with different diameters (1,010 mm upper and 1,200 mm lower) or a high-capacity turret of 1,200-mm-dia. upper and lower. Punching force is 300 kN.

The 3-kW fiber laser oscillator combines high oscillation efficiency with new optics. It employs assist gas rectifying technology and increases cutting speed by a factor of three compared to conventional machines, the manufacturer says.

A variety of automation options—automated punch and die changer, nozzle changer, laser scrap unloader, and cleaning function for cutting plates—allow for uninterrupted operation.
