Laser optics from Laser Research Optics designed for CO2 cutting applications

Laser Research Optics offers laser lenses and mirrors in various focal lengths to match specific steel cutting requirements using 200- to 4-kW CO2 cutting lasers.

They come in plano-convex and meniscus configurations and can be supplied plain or mounted in 1- to 2-in. ODs. Thicknesses are 0.250 to 0.380 in., with focal lengths from 3 to 10 in. in 0.5-in. increments.

The lenses are available with standard A/R coatings that provide less than 0.2 percent total absorption or proprietary Cool-Cut™ coating that absorbs less than 0.15 percent of laser energy to protect against heat damage.

Silicon-coated mirrors also are offered.
