TruMatic 1000 fiber from TRUMPF combines punch and laser

TRUMPF has developed a compact, automation-friendly punch/laser machine designed to grow with a user’s business. The TruMatic 1000 fiber is a combination punch/laser machine achieved by adding a 3-kW TruDisk solid-state laser and retrofitting the TruPunch 1000 with a laser cutting system, a laser evacuation unit, and a beam guard system.

Users can switch from strictly 2-D laser cutting to punch/laser processing. The machine is designed to sort finished parts up to 7 by 7 in. automatically. It can be configured with the manufacturer’s SheetMaster Compact, an automation system designed to load small to medium-sized sheets and blanks and unload microjoint sheets and scrap skeletons.
