Preco’s ST1000/500Blue laser system joins copper components

Preco, Inc. has introduced the ST1000/500Blue laser system for joining copper components. The compact CNC laser machine tool has up to eight axes of controlled motion. Product is presented to the laser processing station via a two-station rotary dial. The system is available with machine vision and remote support capability.

The NUBURU® AO500 fiber-delivered, 500-W, 450-nm blue laser delivers spatter-free results in both conduction and keyhole modes of welding. At this wavelength it exhibits 12 times the absorption with copper when compared to the IR class of lasers, the company says.
