Automatic-feed beveler handles plate up to 4 in. thick

Heck Industries has added a new automatic-feed beveler. The Mod PRO-60G is now the largest-capacity machine, capable of producing a 2-3/8-in.-deep bevel on up to 4-in.-thick plate. The machine uses a milling-type cutter with replaceable carbide inserts, variable angle from 20 to 50 degrees, and variable cutter speed and feed rate.

Pneumatic cylinders are used to hold the plate, allowing it to “float” and prevent cutters from chipping. The machine is provided with spring-loaded casters so it can travel along the edge of a large plate.
