Coe single-reel uncoiler’s modular design adapts to shop floor needs

Coe Press Equipment has announced a new modular design for its single-reel uncoilers, allowing users to add optional features to adapt to changing shop floor needs. Additionally, while the previous model featured weldments, the new design employs bolted components to help make the reel more robust and reliable.

The uncoiler can handle coil loads up to 60,000 lbs., processing yield strength up to 300 KSI. It accommodates coil widths up to 78 in., OD up to 72 in., and ID up to 24.75 in. The unit can be configured to work in a pull-off application with power straighteners and roll forming equipment, or it can be provided as a pay-off reel with the drive mechanism to unwind the coil built into the machine with AC variable-speed drive up to 20 HP.
