Kasto Maschinenbau’s Unitower includes light-up function for picking accuracy

Kasto Maschinenbau offers the Unitower storage system, now available with the integrated pick-by-light function. The modular system handles items from 2,000 to 14,600 mm long and comes in heights up to 25 m.

The new light-up function is integrated in the system’s controller, which tells it which article needs to be stored or retrieved for the relevant job. After the load carrier has been moved to the station, the contents of the cassette are illuminated by a light beam. The operator recognizes the correct compartment at a glance and can store or retrieve the item without error, the manufacturer reports.
