Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 30+ plasma cutter includes operator-friendly controls

Thermal Dynamics, an ESAB brand, has introduced the Cutmaster 30+ portable manual plasma cutting system. It can cut and pierce 3/8-in. metal, sever metal up to 5/8 in., and has a rated cutting output of 30 amps at 40% duty cycle. The system weighs 24.25 lbs. and uses 110- to 240-V 1ph primary power.

The new 4.3-in. TFT LCD is paired with a glove-friendly knob for selecting and setting parameters. Features include normal and grate-cutting mode, automatic inlet/outlet air pressure detection, automatic postcut air purge, and an automatic voltage detection function that sets maximum output amperage based on primary power.
