Makita offers the 18-V LXT® lithium-ion, cordless, 5-7/8-in. metal cutting saw. It offers up to a 2-1/4-in. cutting depth in metals including thread rod, strut, conduit, pipe, and tubing. The brushless motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the BL™ motor to run cooler and more efficiently.

A chip collector box captures debris produced while cutting. The battery side-loads for a compact, 10-1/2-in.-long design suitable for use in constrained spaces.

For harsh conditions, the company’s Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) provides added protection. This series of integrated seals are engineered to channel away dust and water.
