Two-speed magnetic drill offers 6-in. depth of cut

Hougen Mfg. Inc. has released a new portable magnetic drill, the HMD918. It features a high-torque motor and extended 6-in. drilling depth to give metal fabricators more options to drill deep holes in steel, whether a solid piece of material or multiple stacked plates.

A 2-gal. pressurized coolant bottle attaches to the drill arbor, providing pressurized coolant to the cutter no matter the position of the drill. The mag drill pilot light allows the operator to line up the hole in all lighting levels. The two-speed motor helps increase torque when using large-diameter cutters or drilling deep holes.
